Manchester United host Tottenham this week as Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford in new colours.

The former Chelsea boss was shown the exit door almost a year ago as results refused to go his way. United failed to reciprocate their form from Mourinho’s first season incharge, and that ultimately sounded his departure from Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese is back in business in the Premier League as he was brought in by Tottenham around 2 weeks ago, after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked less than 24 hours prior.

The veteran boss had been in search of a job for quite some time and there were links with Arsenal, but weirdly enough he landed in the white side of North London.

Nevertheless, the 56-year-old does not hold any resentments regarding his sacking and has publicly expressed he’s still in good terms with the folks at the United helm. According to him, the higher ups in Manchester share his feeling of respect as well.

In fact, Jose plans to meet with a few of the people he worked with during his time as the Red Devils’ head coach.

According to Mail Online, the Spurs boss is looking forward to meet team chef Mike Donnelly, the kit men, ground staff and some members of the medical staff. The infamous ‘Special One’ has always maintained a high sense of respect and involvement with his staff, which is a very positive thing to see.

On the other hand, the Manchester outfit haven’t exactly had any share of positive results as they struggle for consistency and stability under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Mancunians have failed to register a win in their last 3 games — drawing 2 and losing 1 in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, the Londoners’ woeful run of form as taken a turn for the better with the ex-Real Madrid boss’ appointment. The Lilywhites have since won 2 games and drawn one as they head into Wednesday’s fixture.
