Solskjaer Travelled To Salzburg To Meet Erling Haaland To Discuss Potential Transfer
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his first move to lure Erling Braut Haaland to Manchester United.
The Mancunian giants have been tracking the Norwegian’s progress for almost the entirety of this season. Haaland’s rise to stardom was at light speed with 28 goals and 7 assists this season.
Moreover, the teenager has also registered a whopping 9 goal contributions in the Champions League this season in just 6 appearances.
It is no surprise that the striker is wanted by the likes of United. And Solskjaer is so desperate to make sure he gets his man that he traveled all the way to Salzburg on Friday to meet the RB Salzburg starlet.
According to the Daily Mail, the United boss made the trip as soon as he heard Borussia Dortmund have begun talks over a potential move.
The Premier League giants are said to have classified the Norwegian forward as their No. 1 transfer target. The former Cardiff City manager made a quick intervention so that he could pitch in a transfer proposal before the Bundesliga side could convince him.

It was reported that after the meeting, the gaffer traveled back to Manchester so that he could proceed to resume preparations for Sunday’s clash against Everton at Old Trafford. It is unclear whether the interaction has changed the 19-year-old’s mind.
However, it has been widely reported that the former Norwegian international’s ties with Molde would play an important role in securing the youngster’s signature. This personal exchange may have improved those chances as well.
On the other hand, due to the teenage sensation’s father Alf-Inge Haaland developing a sour relationship with the Red Devils following an almost career-ending encounter with Roy Keane during his Manchester City days, complications could arise.
