Manchester United will block all of Paul Pogba’s attempts to depart Old Trafford in January, as per the Daily Mail.

The Frenchman has been out of action since his side’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal back in September. Pogba sustained an ankle injury which has kept him out even to this day. The midfielder was expected to return for United’s Carabao Cup clash against Colchester United, but his return has been delayed.

The former Juventus man had been permitted by his club to attend his brother Florentin’s wedding over the weekend but since returning from the event, he has been declared sick. The club doctor has found the playmaker ill, rendering him unable to feature for the mid-week fixture.

However, the box-to-box maestro was filmed dancing at the wedding, which showed no signs of illness or fatigue and was also pictured playing basketball last month, despite not being cleared match-fit; fans have been questioning his commitment ever since.

On the other hand, the French international’s future has also been under constant speculation. It was reported that the World Cup champion is somewhat unsettled at Old Trafford and would prefer to move away if the right offer arrives.

Nevertheless, it is not in the Red Devils’ plans to offload their record signing just yet. It was reported that the club will block any moves for the 26-year-old and will be blocked from making any moves in January.

It seems as if the United No. 8 is seen as a valuable asset even at the time of his bad run of form. Though, it was also reported that the Mancunians will try to sign two central midfielders in the summer regardless of Pogba’s future.

The talented midfielder has 18 months left on his current contract, which he is reportedly not interested in extending.
