Manchester United have been looking for some fresh legs in the midfield for a while now, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer realised the issues of the present thoroughly.

It was reported earlier that the Mancunians were already preparing themselves to try to rope in Sean Longstaff and Emre Can to bolster up their midfield. And now, the Daily Mail reports have been surfacing claiming that the English club also has an eye on Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell.

The Englishman has showcased decent performances for his side this season, even registering six goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League this term from 21 appearances.

Despite his performances though, the Canaries sit at the bottom of the table in English League which is a not so great situation for the England U21 international. Plus he had posted a tweet describing that he was gonna get to the top and no one could stop him.

Therefore, a move to United for the Norwich City star would be preferable, as naturally Old Trafford would appear to be a better soil to get nurtured if a player wishes to get to the top.

Moreover the Mancunians could make use of the right footer well, given the current plight of their midfield, to secure a Champions League spot this season. Consequently, the Red Giants are trying to swoop the versatile midfielder this month, with the winter transfer window still being active.

Meanwhile Norwich City, wouldn’t necessarily be looking forward to offload the 21-year-old owing to the performances he’s been displaying at the club. Furthermore, the club is in desperate desire to get out of the relegation zone with less than half the season left in remainder.

Subsequently, it appears that Solskjaer wouldn’t have an easy time trying to rope in the talented player. But with just a few weeks left for the winter window to close for good, the Norwegian manager would make his move as early as possible.
