United Situation Is So Bad That Even Ashley Young Rejects Contract Offer
United will be facing a host of problems and have just over half a month left to attempt to solve some of them for the short-term.
After sporadic periods of hope so far this campaign, with the best moments coming recently, which are currently overshadowed by their heavy losses to rivals Manchester City and Arsenal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been facing the brunt of the blame and there are those that feel that the personnel present at Old Trafford are simply not up to the mark.
In fact, such is the plight of the club that a veteran may be more than willing to jump ships.
As per Sky Sports, Ashley Young has rejected Manchester United’s offer of a year-long extension to his stay at Old Trafford. The Englishman is out of contract in the summer which means that he can begin negotiations with foreign clubs during this month.
Reports have been strongly suggesting that Inter Milan is keen on acquiring the 34-year-old’s signature and that this proposed move from United is precisely to hinder these alleged efforts.

However, Young’s rejection may prove that the stock has well and truly fallen at the Mancunian outfit with one of their longest-serving talent now on the verge of departure.
It is unclear at this point whether Antonio Conte’s side will seek to secure Young in this window itself or whether they’ll wait to acquire him as a free agent in the summer.
Further still, it appears that Young himself is keen on moving to the Serie A club, as seen in this rejection.
The report claims that Solskjaer is eager for Young to stay on at the side as he is a rare leader figure at the side. This is particularly vital given the sheer youthful nature of the players presently plying their trade at Old Trafford.
