Man Utd want to sign Marcos Llorente on loan during the winter transfer window.

Key players Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay have been sidelined with a knee injury for a while now, leaving behind a gaping hole in midfield.

Andreas Pereira is not exactly the player he portrays himself as in preseason game and Nemanja Matic has set his eyes on an exit. Though Fred has come up as a late bloomer, he cannot lead the midfield on his own.

The Red Devils are working on signing Portuguese ace Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP. The attacking midfielder has been on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s agenda for quite some time now and it seems like the time is finally here.

However, according to Manchester Evening News, the Mancunians want to reinforce their midfield further with the signing of Marcos Llorente.

The Spaniard made a £35 million move from Real Madrid to rivals Atletico Madrid following the departure of Rodri to Man City.

Since then, the midfielder has failed to appear in 16 out of 19 La Liga games held so far. In fact, over the course of last month, the former Galactico has played less than 20 minutes in League and Champions League.

However, the Atleti man fits the profile of the player the Old Trafford outfit are in the market for.
