Man Utd are desperate to seal Angel Gomes’ future at the club amid wide interest from top clubs, reports the Sun.

The youngster seems to be unsettled at Old Trafford, likely due to the very limited minutes he gets allotted. In fact, it was reported that Gomes’ agent has already held talks with unnamed Italian and Spanish sides whilst Premier League elites Chelsea and Leicester City also remain interested.

However, the Red Devils value him as a massive asset and intend to keep him by going the extra mile. The Englishman is said to be on a £10,000-per-week deal currently, which the Old Trafford outfit would gladly treble in order to secure his future.

Moreover, the club are also willing to facilitate loan moves for the young midfielder in order to gain first-team experience. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also assured the England youth international that he can make it to the first-team soon enough.

Solskjaer Needs ‘Six New Signings’ To Improve Manchester United

A club source told the Sun: “The club want him to stay and sign a new contract. He is seen as a top player going forward. Ole has an open relationship with a lot of the squad and Angel is no different. He would be getting a pay-rise.”

The Mancunians could definitely use someone like the teenager especially as Paul Pogba is sidelined and Andreas Pereira has so far proved to be a disappointment.

One cannot blame the 19-year-old for feeling unsettled at the club after being denied chances by the boss.
