Solskjaer Will Be Sacked If United Finish Outside The Top 6
With Ole Gunnar Solskjær failing to induce the resurrection of Manchester United which was expected of him, the supporters have been questioning the Norwegian’s position at Old Trafford lately.
Disregarding the woeful spell of the Red Devils this term, it’s nevertheless understood that the chief executive Ed Woodward retains his faith in the current gaffer.
However, as per the recent reports, Mauricio Pochettino is still inclined to get behind the wheels of Mancunian giants if Solskjær were to be sacked in the future.
The Argentine was fired earlier in November by Tottenham after a fair share of his career at Spurs. The prolific gaffer has been out of work ever since and is reportedly keen on joining United to advance in his managerial career.
The current form of the Old Trafford outfit is not quite up to the mark with some key figures sidelined due to injuries including the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford. Although Bruno Fernandes’ debut performance delivered sparks of hope for the supporters.
Furthermore, if Solskjær is unable to secure a Champions League qualification spot at the end of this season, the club would face shortage of money flow from sponsors owing to some clauses in their contract.
Regardless, the 46-year-old will be offloaded from the esteemed position only if the English side fails to finish in the top six, according to the Mirror.
The Old Trafford outfit now rest in the 8th position on the Premier League table, two points off Spurs who claims the 6th position for now. With just 13 matches left in the remainder of this season, the United manager would have to display consistency in winning the games if he wishes to secure a Champions League spot.
