Solskjaer’s Reaction After Watching Ighalo For The First Time In Training
Only a few players arrived at Old Trafford in the winter transfer window, even though Manchester United were expected to perform a tad better in the market.
And one of the players who signed for the Mancunians happens to be Odion Ighalo, who came on loan from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua on the final day of January.
After his move last month, the striker did not have his Manchester United debut until their last match featuring Chelsea. Coming on as a substitute, the 30-year-old became the first ever Nigerian to play for the Red Devils in the Premier League.
The right footer was introduced in the 91st minute replacing Anthony Martial, and a few minutes after, the talented forward received an opportunity to stretch his side’s lead further, although his attempt on goal was denied by the Blues’ keeper.

Regardless, Solskjaer has recently shared his thoughts on the ex-Watford attacker.
The Norwegian manager proclaimed: “He’s a box striker, he’s a goalscorer, we’ve already seen in training. He really knows his craft… and he’s a fantastic professional and human being and he’s already added to the squad. The boys have learnt his song and already taken to him.”
A goal on Monday night would sure have broken the internet, and his shot did get the supporters out of their seats.
Anyways, with plenty of matches left in the remainder of this season, the Nigeria international is expected to have more minutes of game time in which he can make a real impact on the score sheet.
