Bruno Fernandes has been an instant hit at Manchester United, on and off the pitch.

The former Sporting Lisbon star has made an immediate impact on United’s form since joining and has been their stand-out performer ever since. In 7 games, Fernandes has managed to record 3 goals and 2 assists, whilst helping his side remain unbeaten in that period.

However, a detailed report from the Times has highlighted how crucial the introduction of the Portuguese international’s mentality has turned things around at Old Trafford.

Despite being his daughter’s birthday and having signed for the Red Devils on the same day, the midfielder’s first request was if he could train immediately.

The Portuguese could’ve easily taken that day to celebrate his big money transfer and his daughter’s third birthday, instead he turned to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and asked: “Can I train now?”

The attacking midfielder reportedly insisting on working his way back to fitness in training for his debut. And even at the training center, the new arrival left a lasting impression on his teammates by being vocal and asking for the ball whenever he wanted to create.

Moreover, the ex-Sampdoria man is very straight-forward and let’s the people around him know exactly what’s on his mind when it comes to things that concern him.

“If he [Fernandes] thinks something is not right, he will tell you so,” a United staff member revealed.

The 25-year-old also refuses to attend any interviews prior to or after games in order to prepare and recover the way he wants.

And it’s no surprise many see him as a future captain as he was only person who was reportedly upset about not being able to bag all three points during the Mancunians’ previous Premier League outing.

The dynamic midfielder hasn’t been in Manchester for long, but it’s clear how much impact he has already made and how much he can make in the future.
