Reaction Of United Players To Bruno Fernandes’ Performance vs Man City
Providing the home crowd with a visual treat by scoring two goals, Manchester United ascertained their supremacy in the Manchester derby on a rainy night.
The victory certainly had a major share of contribution from Bruno Fernandes, who was also directly involved in Anthony Martial’s goal which placed the Red Devils ahead of the Citizens in the first half.
With United still remaining unbeaten ever since the arrival of the Portuguese, his teammates David De Gea and captain Harry Maguire was full of praises for the talented playmaker following their last Premier League clash.
Further, the creative midfielder was named as the PFA Player of the Month on Monday.
When inquired about the Portugal international’s impact after the derby, De Gea told MUTV: “He’s a smart, smart player. He’s clever on the pitch. He’s a different player. When he has the ball he can do so many things so this is why Manchester United signed Bruno.

“He’s perfect for us and Anthony as well. It was a great free-kick for the goal. Let’s keep looking forward, keep winning games and enjoy the win.”
Maguire is similarly excited by the 25-year-old’s addition and explained the star’s developing relationship with Martial. “I think you’re seeing for the first goal he brought some great creativity,” the Mancunian skipper proclaimed.

“Anthony is building up a little relationship with him so hopefully, it can carry on now for the future. Obviously, it’s a great first-time finish as well. We dug in deep out there. Don’t get me wrong, we can play better than that and we know that. We can play better on the ball especially.
“I think without the ball we pressed them really well. The midfield and the forwards ran tirelessly for the team, didn’t give them a sniff in terms of getting their heads up or being able to create a chance.
“The backline, we defended our box really well but with the ball, we can do better and we know we can do better. But it’s a big win and we deserved the three points.”
