Man Utd have their eyes set on Jack Grealish for the summer transfer window. The Aston Villa player has been heavily linked with the Red Devils and his skillset certainly suits the needs of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company.
The roster at Old Trafford has been desperate for a player of his caliber, particularly with regard to positional play. This was made amply evident when both Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira proved inadequate for the role early on in the campaign. Even acquiring Bruno Fernandes in the winter window, while touted to be for that no.10 role, wasn’t a well-tailored transfer.
As such, if the signing for Grealish is made, quite a few things will be put in motion.
Most importantly, some of the big needs at the Mancunian giants will be met, solving positional and versatility-based needs.
Besides, the type of player that Grealish is, could be indicative of both, what kind of player Man Utd need as well as what kind of team is being constructed at the outfit. If this signing goes through and the Englishman succeeds it would also be further proof that stars need not always stem from top Europeans clubs for insanely huge transfer fees.
All in all, this potential acquisition appears to be the natural next step in United’s rebuild.
