Borussia Dortmund are a club known for their transfer policy of finding young talents, developing them, and then making a huge profit from their sale.
Their last superb piece of business was the transfer of Christian Pulisic to Chelsea. The American star moved to the German club aged 16 and they managed to make an impressive £58 million profit on him.
Jadon Sancho, who replaced Christian Pulisic, is likely to be their next big sale. He was signed for £7m from Man City in 2017, and has quickly developed into one of the best attackers in Europe.
Premier League duo Man Utd and Chelsea are interested in bringing the 20-year-old back to England, and according to German outlet Sport Bild, Sancho and Dortmund have a mutual agreement which allows the player to leave if a suitable offer comes in this summer.
Dortmund chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke, earlier admitted that he would respect what Jadon Sancho wants, stating: “You always have to respect what the player wants. We already said before corona that our preference is for Jadon to remain with us.”
“I can say clearly that even the very rich clubs, despite the current crisis, shouldn’t think they can get a bargain from us. We don’t have to sell anyone below their value.”
