Facundo Pellistri is settling in well in England with Manchester United U23s.

The Uruguayan was signed from Penarol in a €8.50m deal in the summer window, but is yet to make his debut for the senior side. However, he has already trained with the first-team players and was also an unused substitute against Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aware of the pressure of playing for Premier League’s record champions and has given the youngster good time to settle in a new country.

Pellistri is getting used to English football with the club’s youth sides, and is looking more comfortable with each passing game.

In late November, the talented forward had a first goal contribution to his name in a Manchester United shirt by assisting Shola Shoretire with a lovely cross against Tottenham Hotspur U23s.

And on Friday night, the 18-year-old managed to score his first goal for the Red Devils in a Premier League 2 clash against Southampton U23s.

Interestingly, it was Shoretire who created the opportunity for Pellistri with a brilliant turn and through ball, and the former Penarol sensation didn’t make any mistake as he left behind Southampton defenders with a direct run and showed his quality in front of goal with a neat finish.
