What Declan Rice Commented On Instagram About McTominay After United 6-2 Leeds
Scott McTominay impressed as Manchester United tramble over Leeds United on Sunday.
The Scot provided a convincing performance — making his presence felt in midfield whilst also registering his name on the scoresheet, twice! McTominay’s brace in the first 3 minutes of the match set the tone for what was to come as the match ended 6-2 in favour of the hosts.
Although Paul Pogba’s exclusion raised a lot of eyebrows initially, the Scottish international proved his inclusion was justified as he dominated the Leeds midfield alongside Fred. The central midfielder excelled both defensively and – as made apparent by his 2 goals – offensively.
Naturally, the United academy graduate received quite a lot of deserved praise. And some of those generous words came from Declan Rice, who left a very positive comment on the Red Devil’s Instagram post.

To most fans coming across this interaction, it’d seem like any social media interaction. But the West Ham talisman is someone who is said to be eyed by the Mancunians by several sources and this interaction could be seen in a different way with that context. Although there is nothing conclusive, no one is going to blame fans for making what they will of it.
Rice, on the other hand, is enjoying the form of his life as of late and has been nothing short of impressive. And in that process, he may have impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too.
The 24-year-old is a reliable figure in the squad but it is very likely that he is replaced with an upgrade. Rice could be exactly that should the former Cardiff City boss wish to sign him and compete with Chelsea who are also reportedly interested.
