Pogba Explains Reason Behind ‘Juventus Color Haircut’ During Portugal vs France
Paul Pogba’s haircut was talked as much as his midfield dominance in France’s draw against Portugal.
The French midfielder bossed the Bruno Fernandes-less Portuguese midfield, as Les Bleus secured the top spot in Group F with a 2-2 stalemate at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium. The result in Budapest on Wednesday meant Didier Deschamps’ side will face relatively easier Last 16 opponent in Switzerland.
Regardless, the 28-year-old’s black and white hair still managed to grab more headlines than his pinpoint passes – with one of them leading to Karim Benzema’s second-half goal.
Following the match, Pogba was asked whether his haircut hinted at his next potential club, to which he replied (via Sky Sport): “My hair were black and white as Juventus shirt tonight? I was expecting this question… (he laughs). I’m not thinking about my future, I’m only focused on the Euros. And my hair always change, you know!”
With only one year left on his current contract at Old Trafford, questions regarding his future will only increase, irrespective of his performances.
However, Pogba, who equalised with his blue hair to engineer United’s comeback in the Manchester derby in April 2018, hasn’t allowed his off-pitch rumours to dictate his game in the middle of the park for both his club and country.
Further, Solskjaer’s side are expected to propose the former Juventus man a contract that will allegedly make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League. However, they will have to wait until after the Euros for any major development.
