Jadon Sancho has finally been announced as a Manchester United player after a pursuit that lasted longer than a year.
The Englishman had reportedly agreed on personal terms last summer but United failed to find common ground with Borussia Dortmund when it came to the price tag. But that means convincing Sancho this time around did not prove to be a difficult task.
Ultimately, the Red Devils prized their long-term target for a fee of around €85 million. The playmaker signed a 5-year deal and will wear the No. 25 shirt, meaning Edinson Cavani will keep the No. 7 kit for himself for now.
Nevertheless, the Sancho saga lasted quite a long time and it is no surprise that fans were restless before the announcement. Turns out, so was Bruno Fernandes who reacted just like any fan who has had to wait for an awfully long time for a transfer announcement would.
The Portuguese took to Twitter to welcome his new teammate and expressed his eagerness to share the pitch with him. Fernandes also added a cheeky question in there that fans seemed to love.

And it does not stop there, the midfielder also took to Instagram where he jokingly expressed his frustration at having had to wait for so long for the official announcement.

The former Dortmund man is arguably one of the best young forwards in Europe at the moment so this coup the Mancunians have managed to pull off is no small feat.
The England international will add flair and creativity to a team that has more or less been carried by the Portuguese international in the latter aspect. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to lessen the burden on the attacking midfielder and also hope to add more dynamism on the flanks through the 21-year-old.
