Man United Forward Set To Leave – Announcement Expected In Next Few Days
Man United forward Facundo Pellistri is nearing a return to Alaves for another loan spell.
Pellistri, 19, is having a bright pre-season with his parent club. He has been involved in all three of United’s friendlies, managing a goal and an assist along the way.
Despite an excellent start to the new season, the Uruguayan will reportedly leave English football and ply his trade in Spain for at least another campaign.
Alaves are believed to be the front-runners for his signature due to the youngster’s preference to return to the La Liga outfit ahead of other European suitors.
According to Noticias de Alava (via SportWitness), ‘everything seems to indicate’ that the former Penarol winger will move to Alaves, with the Spanish club hopeful of announcing his return in the next few days.
He’s still in England because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to play him in pre-season, but now both clubs are keen to finalise the switch as soon as possible.
Tahith Chong also stayed with the Premier League giants longer than expected. He was part of the lineup against Derby and even got himself on the score sheet despite Birmingham City announcing his loan signing nine days before United’s first friendly.
However, with more senior stars returning to training at Carrington, multiple players are set to embark on loans and permanent exits.
