Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Manchester United is officially completed and he followed it up with a heartfelt message to the club and Sir Alex Ferguson.
Man City looked set to sign the Portuguese international just last week but United managed to turn the tide with Ferguson reportedly making a personal phone call to him in order to change his mind. That, with the backing of the Glazers, made the return of Ronaldo possible.
The former United boss has been a huge influence on the striker and his career. So it is only natural that he values his former coach’s advice.
And the former Real Madrid man made sure to dedicate his return to the Scotsman after he was officially announced as a Red Devil for the second time in his career.
In his post on Instagram, the veteran expressed his love for the club and the fans whilst also adding that this was all down to the legendary manager.

The supporters will love to have their legend back at Old Trafford, especially after a scare of him almost moving to their bitter rivals. And although the fans never had the best relationship with the owners, they would somewhat be grateful that the Glazers pushed for the completion of this deal.
However, there is no doubt that Sir Alex’s interference was pivotal. Just goes on to show even a five-time Ballon d’Or winner humbles down when faced with the advice of a living legend.
Now, it is upto the 36-year-old to make it all worthwhile and give Manchester a grand ‘last dance’. There would be very few ways to perfectly conclude one’s career, especially a career as illustrious as CR7’s.
