Sevilla are turning out to be Manchester United’s preferred destination to offload their out of favour stars.

Anthony Martial spent the second half of last season in the Spanish top-flight under Julen Lopetegui. The Frenchman was welcomed with much hope and excitement at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium, but failed to deliver, having scored just one goal during his time in Andalusia.

Martial’s uninspiring spell hasn’t deterred United’s interest in sending their players to Spain.

Earlier this week, the Red Devils reached an agreement to send Alex Telles on a season long loan to Sevilla. The left-back, akin to Martial, departed Old Trafford in search of regular football.

Now, another player is reportedly set to quit United for Sevilla after finding himself on the fringes at Carrington.

According to talkSPORT, Eric Bailly is set to become the second United defender of the summer to move to Sevilla.

The Ivorian centre-back has been told his services are no longer needed by Erik ten Hag, and he has been offered the chance to follow Telles’ footsteps. The United boss is looking to reduce the size of the squad after signing Lisandro Martinez.

It is understood that Bailly, who joined United from Villarreal, is open to returning to LaLiga.
