Manchester United Reach Agreement For Transfer Of £15m Midfielder
Erik ten Hag confirmed during his press conference that Manchester United’s transfer business with regards to incomings would be done following the signings of Antony and Martin Dubravka. However, United still continue to work on outgoings.
The Red Devils have reached ‘full agreement’ with Everton for the permanent transfer of James Garner, Fabrizio Romano has reported. A bid in the region of £15m has been accepted. While talks over personal terms are ongoing with the midfielder’s representatives.
The 21-year-old isn’t in Ten Hag’s midfield plans despite impressing in the Championship last season. He registered 10 assists and scored four goals during his loan spell at Nottingham Forest and played an integral part in their promotion to the Premier League.
The Dutch coach has also sanctioned Hannibal Mejbri’s loan move to Birmingham City. Interestingly, both Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal still remain at the club. The midfield duo were brilliant under Ten Hag during the pre-season tour.
Before United’s trip to Leicester City, Ten Hag also said Aaron Wan-Bissaka will stay at Carrington. Crystal Palace and West Ham were both interested in signing the right-back.
Everton, meanwhile, are also edging closer to signing Idrissa Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain, as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his midfield before Deadline Day.
