Manchester United are planning a big summer exodus after a relatively quiet January transfer window.

The Red Devils spent much of their time in the transfer market last month exploring loan deals on cheap and ended up acquiring Wout Weghorst from Burnley and Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season.

Now that the winter window is close, their focus has been turned to addressing the situation of sellable players who don’t feature in Erik ten Hag’s project for the long term.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Premier League giants are looking to sell Anthony Martial in the summer, as they aim to bring in a new long-term striker to lead United’s attack.

The Frenchman, who has missed large parts of the season with injuries, was classified as sellable before his latest setback which forced him to sit out of the Crystal Palace clash over the weekend.

The departure of Martial, who moved to Manchester for a fee rising to £58m in 2015, would help United fund a move for a new goalscorer. Harry Kane, who became Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time top scorer on Sunday, and Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen are both on the club’s radar.

The 27-year-old forward isn’t the only big name that United are open to selling. Skipper Harry Maguire is also among the players who will be made available to buy at the end of the season.
