Champions League giants interested in Man Utd forward Mason Greenwood
Mason Greenwood is starting to attract interest from elsewhere with his long-term future at Man Utd doubtful.
The English forward is yet to train and feature under Erik ten Hag, with the club currently conducting an internal investigation into his conduct. No timeline has been set on when a decision will be reached on the player whose last appearance in a United No 11 shirt came in January of last year.
Greenwood’s contract at United expires in the summer of 2025, but it’s now being suggested he’s looking for a new start out of England.
According to Relevo (via UtdDistrict), Greenwood is waiting to find out what United’s decision will be – but he’s looking forward to ‘starting again, out of England’.
Man Utd forward Mason Greenwood eyed by Champions League club
AC Milan are the latest club to be linked with Greenwood. The report adds that there are figures at the Serie A outfit who appreciate the technical qualities of the 21-year-old attacker.
Stefano Pioli’s side have a goal advantage over Napoli going into the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. But they’ve not been very impressive in the league and the defending champions find themselves in a top-four race.
Man Utd, meanwhile, are searching for a new goal-scorer and it’s understood they will insist on signing Harry Kane in the summer transfer window. The England international would prefer to stay in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur are enduring another difficult season. The North London outfit are without a permanent manager following Antonio Conte’s departure, and sit three points behind fourth-placed United having played two more games. On Saturday, they lost 3-2 against Bournemouth at home. However, Kane has maintained his fine goal-scoring form with 23 goals in 31 league appearances this season.
