Everton star to push for Manchester United transfer after relegation
Everton find themselves in a relegation battle, having won just one of their last five league games.
The thumping 5-1 win against Brighton on the road did provide Sean Dyche a sigh of relief and pulled the Toffees out of the relegation zone. However, only a point separates Everton from 18th-placed Leeds United. With Manchester City set to visit Goodison Park next, it’s safe to assume the fight for the Premier League survival is going right to the wire.
Relegation to England’s second tier would be catastrophic for the Merseyside outfit but might work in favour of clubs keeping an eye on their talents.
Everton star to push for Manchester United transfer
Manchester United are reported to be interested in Amadou Onana – one of Everton’s best players this season. The 21-year-old only joined the side last summer in a £33 million move from Lille.
But according to Football Insider, Onana is prepared to push for a move at the end of the season ‘especially’ if Everton are relegated to the Championship.
It is added that United boss Erik ten Hag has already given the green light to the hierarchy at Old Trafford to make a swoop for the dynamic midfielder. The Dutchman is thought to be keen on adding physicality to his midfield to complement the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen.

The Belgium international has brilliantly coped with the physicality of English football and has also caught the eye with his ability in possession in his debut season at Everton.
United lack midfielders who bring both technical prowess and athleticism to the table and have been linked with several players of that profile, including Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic.
Should Everton get relegated, Onana may prove to be a more attractive option for Manchester United, at least financially.
