Manchester United have found a full agreement with Al Nassr for the transfer of Alex Telles, as per reports.

The Brazilian full-back joined the Red Devils from FC Porto during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign and impressed as Luke Shaw’s understudy. And during Ralf Rangnick’s interim stint, he was even viewed as the side’s first-choice left-back. However, Telles was never considered a reliable option at left-back by Erik ten Hag.

Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia was the former Ajax boss’ very first signing at Old Trafford, opening the exit door for Telles. The 30-year-old joined Sevilla on a season-long loan last summer and ended the campaign with a Europa League trophy. He came off the bench against his parent club in their 3-0 defeat in the second leg of the quarter-finals in Seville.

Telles returned to United following the end of his agreed upon loan spell but it was clear from the start of the summer that his future lay elsewhere. Now, his next destination has been confirmed.

The former Porto skipper is set to join Al-Nassr. As per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the SPL outfit will pay the Premier League side £4m fixed fee plus add-ons for Telles’ services. The set-piece specialist will get to reunite with his former United teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Malacia, who effectively ended Telles’ career at Old Trafford, has been ruled out of United’s game against Lyon in Scotland on Wednesday and their pre-season tour to the US through injury.

Alvaro Fernandez, the talented full-back from the club’s academy, is likely to benefit from the Dutchman’s absence. He started against Leeds in United’s opening pre-season outing and delivered an encouraging performance in the 2-0 win last week.
