Manchester United agree deal with Ligue 1 club for Van de Beek’s transfer
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with FC Lorient to loan out Donny van de Beek for a season.
As per Santi Aouna, the Ligue 1 outfit are now facing a challenging task of convincing the Dutchman to pick their project. It’s claimed the 26-year-old has several offers on the table and could end up joining a more ambitious club.
As far as the Red Devils are concerned, they don’t have a spot in the first team for Van de Beek and are very keen to find a new club before the close of the transfer window.
Van de Beek expected to depart Manchester United
The former Ajax sensation has not managed to push his way into the Starting XI for different reasons. Bruno Fernandes’ brilliance, underwhelming performances when handed rare opportunities, and injury issues have pushed Van de Beek to the fringes of the fold.
He enjoyed an encouraging pre-season and even scored a goal in United’s friendly win over Lyon, but Erik ten Hag has overlooked him while selecting his matchday squads for the opening three Premier League games this season.
Accordingly, it would be the best option for Van de Beek to accept a move to the Ligue 1 club or elsewhere in the next few hours. According to The Athletic, Galatasaray have also made an approach for the creative midfielder.

Another playmaker at Carrington, Hannibal Mejbri, is attracting interest from multiple clubs in the final days of the transfer window. Everton and Sevilla have held discussions over signing the former Monaco talent, but it’s claimed he’s viewed as a player with the potential to impress under Ten Hag this term.
Meanwhile, United are in talks with Fiorentina to find a solution to make Sofyan Amrabat’s switch to Old Trafford happen in this window.
