Manchester United fan favourite tells club he wants January exit – could leave imminently
Facundo Pellistri is reportedly pushing for an exit from Manchester United this January.
Early this week, Sevilla confirmed the loan signing of Hannibal Mejbri from the Red Devils. It’s understood the Spanish outfit also have an option to turn the loan move into a permanent one for a fee in the region of €20 million.
The 20-year-old midfielder left United to continue his development elsewhere after a lack of regular game time under Erik ten Hag. Now, Pellistri is apparently looking to depart as well.
Manchester United talent keen to depart Old Trafford this month
According to Uruguayan outlet Traspasos (via Sport Witness), Facundo Pellistri is attracting interest from Granada. The La Liga outfit are managed by Alexander Medina, who seems to be pushing to sign his compatriot. It’s claimed Medina is hoping for Pellistri’s arrival.
The Uruguay international is also thought to be on board with the idea and has told United he wants to move to Granada. It’s added the deal should be done in the ‘next few hours.’
There are no details concerning the nature of the transfer, but whether it’s on loan or a permanent exit, it’s important for Pellistri to leave to continue his development.
Despite his popularity among United faithful, Ten Hag clearly doesn’t rate him very highly, having handed the right winger just one start in the Premier League this season despite Antony’s lengthy mid-season absence as well as his disappointing form.
