Mason Greenwood is attracting interest from Barcelona on the back of his impressive loan spell at Getafe.

Earlier this week, a report from Standard suggested Jadon Sancho and Antony have been offered to clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with Manchester United hoping for around £50m each for their flop right-wingers.

Considering their recent output, it’ll be tough for United to attract considerable interest in both players, let alone offers in the region of £50m. However, with Sancho now back in Borussia Dortmund, there’s hope a positive loan spell may help United recoup some of the £73m they spent to sign him. But that’s the topic for the summer.

Barcelona keen on signing Mason Greenwood

Interestingly, Greenwood has already done enough to put his name on the radar of Barcelona, who are reportedly edging closer to signing him.

Currently on loan at Getafe, the Englishman has managed to score three goals and assist four times in La Liga this term. All this while, Barcelona have been supposedly monitoring Greenwood.

According to The Sun, the Catalan outfit now hope to tie a deal soon to make him a Barca player in June. They add that the United academy product has told his advisors the switch to Camp Nou is a “dream move”.

Further, the outlet’s source has claimed that United want to sell the player and Erik ten Hag has accepted the 22-year-old versatile forward won’t be returning.

A clean break might be the best option for all parties involved, not least the Red Devils who could certainly do with a significant fee for players who aren’t part of their long-term plans to ensure they are in a position to spend big in the summer without fears of financial fair play issues.
