Manchester United transfer: 22-year-old set to travel today to complete move
Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is set to secure a move to Spanish outfit Granada.
Erik ten Hag has confirmed United won’t be adding a new player to their ranks due to financial fair play constraints. As such, the few remaining hours of the January transfer window are expected to be uneventful at Old Trafford as far as incomings are concerned.
The same couldn’t be said for outgoings. The Red Devils have remained very active when it comes to opening the exit doors for players who have been on the fringes of the senior squad in the first half of the season.
Facundo Pellistri, 22, set to leave Manchester United for Granada
Facundo Pellistri had endured a tough 2023-24 campaign, having been overlooked by Erik ten Hag on a regular basis. The Uruguay international has started just one Premier League game all season. He remained an unused substitute in their 4-2 win over Newport County over the weekend.
It’s been expected for a while that United would let the 22-year-old winger leave in January. In that regard, things have moved swiftly in last the hours, so much so that Pellistri is prepared to travel to Spain to join Granada on loan.

According to IDEAL (via Sport Witness), the two clubs have agreed on details for the player’s loan move, and the announcement is expected sooner rather than later.
Accordingly, the Uruguayan is prepared to travel to the Spanish city to finalise his move. This will be the player’s third loan stint in Spain, having previously played for Alaves on two different loan spells.
