Marcus Rashford’s name has been circling around the Parc des Princes, as Paris Saint-Germain start planning life without Kylian Mbappe.

The France international has reportedly informed the club’s hierarchy that he wishes to depart at the end of the season. His long-term admirers, Real Madrid are believed to be in the driving seat to sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer.

As per BBC, he has already agreed to join Los Blancos this summer. He’s set to sign a five-year deal with the Spanish giants, earning €15m a season. Additionally, he will also make €150m in signing-on bonus during his time at Santiago Bernabeu.

Needless to say, akin to Real, PSG would also like to address their frontline swiftly and decisively this summer.

PSG interested in Marcus Rashford

Replacing Kylian Mbappe, who has been a crucial figure in their attack since 2017 may prove to be an uphill task for PSG. The French superstar is leading the Ligue 1 goal-scoring charts with 21 goals to his name this season.

On the plus side, his exit will see PSG save €200 million a year in wages. According to The Times, PSG’s football adviser, Luís Campos, has been tasked with spending the sum to build a young team capable of securing the club’s maiden Champions League trophy.

The report suggests Marcus Rashford, 26, has been included on a shortlist of potential replacements for their talisman.

The United forward, who has long been admired by PSG, only signed a new five-year contract at Old Trafford last year. As such, Campos may have to spend a big chunk of the reported budget should he decide to knock on United’s door for their star forward.
