Manchester United have no plans to put Marcus Rashford on sale this summer, as per reports.

The Red Devils’ summer transfer plans are starting to take shape with Ineos leadership coming to terms with the fact that they won’t be able to spend big owing to Erik ten Hag’s failure to secure Champions League football.

As such, United may have to sell some big names to bring in quality players to rejuvenate their squad for the next campaign. However, they still intend to keep hold of perhaps their biggest star, Marcus Rashford.

Manchester United not looking to cut ties with Marcus Rashford

Rashford has come under fire from a certain section of fans as he endures a frustrating season. The England international has managed seven goals and assisted twice in 31 Premier League appearances this term.

Despite an underwhelming campaign, Rashford, who was directly involved in 40 goals in all competitions last campaign, still has the potential to attract big offers from top clubs across Europe.

However, as per The Athletic’s David Ornstein, United are not “proactively looking to sell” Rashford. The Englishman still has more than four years remaining on his contract and United’s preference is to keep him at Old Trafford.

The idea is to help him get back to his best. To be fair to Rashford, no United player has particularly enjoyed a great 2023/24 season under Ten Hag when pitted against Europe’s best players.

Having said that, it is added that United would consider parting ways with the 26-year-old if a “substantial offer” arrives and he informs the club of his desire to depart.
