Bayern Munich are one of the sides who have reportedly expressed an interest in purchasing Bruno Fernandes in the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich are in a mixed state right now. The Bundesliga giants have enjoyed immense supremacy for over a decade but this season saw Bayer Leverkusen steal the domestic league title in convincing fashion. Likewise, their Champions League ambition was also cut short ending their campaign in a sordid manner.

This is despite the bumper acquisition of Harry Kane in the summer and the striker’s exceptional numbers in front of goal. As such, it is clear the side must also invest elsewhere. In this regard, their eyes are squarely on Old Trafford.

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes attracts interest from Bayern Munich

According to MEN, Bayern Munich are amongst the clubs keen on acquiring the services of Bruno Fernandes this summer. While the player is not on sale, the report adds that figures at Manchester United have their doubts on whether or not their captain will continue after this season has ended.

It cannot be overstated how important Fernandes is for the Red Devils. In terms of creativity and attacking flourish his numbers are second to none and of late he exhibits an almost exclusive presence of passion and hunger at the side.

As such, a departure involving the Portuguese midfielder would not go down well. However, Man United could be tempted to sell due to FFP restrictions on new acquisitions.

As such, the 29-year-old could be allowed to part ways if a bumper offer comes along. While Bayern Munich can certainly be the source of such interest, the report adds that Inter Milan are another club linked to Fernandes.

It will be a tense few months if this saga is indeed true as the Theatre of Dreams may not be successful in replacing someone of his caliber.
