Bayern and Barcelona hold talks with Manchester United superstar – may soon move forward
Bruno Fernandes is attracting strong interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona heading into the summer transfer window.
The Portuguese midfielder enjoyed another prolific season at Manchester United, scoring 15 goals and assisting his teammates 13 times across all competitions. One of his assists came in the FA Cup final, as he found Kobbie Mainoo with a brilliant no-look pass to set up United’s second goal at Wembley.
Before the FA Cup final, the 29-year-old insisted he had no desire to leave Old Trafford. However, he added: “I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club.”
As far as United’s expectations and plans for the future are concerned, there are a lot of question marks with INEOS yet to make a decision on Erik ten Hag. They are also yet to make any serious approach to strengthen United’s squad.

Financially, selling Fernandes who will turn 30 this fall, could make plenty of sense considering United’s concerns with respect to the Premier League’s PSR rules.
At the same time, it is certain United won’t be able to find a player, at least in the near future, capable of filling Fernandes’ void.
The United skipper not only scores, assists, creates chances at a commendable rate, but he also helps his teammates with his unmatched work rate out of possession.
