One of Europe’s top full-backs appears to be prioritising a move to Manchester United, according to reports.

Under new club co-owners INEOS, the Red Devils are currently in the process of revamping their squad. By signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, they have already strengthened their attack and central defence.

While they had subsequently shifted their focus onto central midfield, they have hit some roadblocks in their pursuit of PSG’s Manuel Ugarte. Therefore, the Premier League giants are now focusing on bringing in full-backs instead.

In fact, United have already identified the player they would like to sign at right-back: former Ajax and current Bayern Munich defender, Noussair Mazraoui.

Mazraoui giving ‘total priority’ to Manchester United

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are already in discussions with agent Rafaela Pimenta for two of her clients—first being Matthijs de Ligt, who they have been pursuing for weeks, and the other being Noussair Mazraoui.

Mazraoui’s response to United’s interest has been overwhelmingly positive as well. As per Romano, the 26-year-old has given “total priority” to an Old Trafford move, which he would “love”.  An agreement on personal terms will not be a problem either, Romano adds.

However, his arrival at the Theatre of Dreams will completely depend on whether Aaron Wan Bissaka leaves United this summer.

The ‘Spider’ has been linked with moves to West Ham and Inter, with the latter potentially involving a swap deal that could see Denzel Dumfries head to England instead.

In fact, Mazraoui too was linked to a switch to Premier League outfit West Ham. The London club had even struck a deal with Bayern, but failed to fully convince the player.
