Roy Keane was full of praise for this potential Manchester United target

Manchester United really seem to be in for a quiet transfer window. To be fair, January is not exactly the time for clubs to splurge but the issues plaguing the side and a new manager at the helm, not to mention fresh money from ownership changes, did have fans expecting.

If anything, departures might become the name of the game with quite a few names rumoured to be exit-bound or at least negotiating their future contracts away from Old Trafford

In that respect, the club is still linked with players they could sign in the near future. One name has been prominent in the list so far and he is a talent that the Red Devils have courted in the past.

According to Tuttomercato, Douglas Luiz may have an interest in joining Man United. The Juventus midfielder has Premier League experience under his belt due to his time at Aston Villa and a Manchester City past also means that he is no stranger to the Carrington region.

At 26 years of age the Brazilian has good stock and with the likes of Casemiro looking likely to be exit-bound means that United will be on the look out.

When the Mancunian giants were linked to the talent in the past Roy Keane had high words of praise, stating: “He turns up every week this player. Never seems to be injured. Quality player. I like him.”

Keane goes on to add, “He is consistent. Turns up week in and week out. You know what you are going to get from him. I like a lot about him. Probably lacks that real pace maybe. In terms of his decision-making and looking after the ball, very, very good.”

High praise from a reliable source.

However, it is unclear whether the Serie A side would be entertaining any bids for the player this window. Having said that, supporters at Old Trafford may just keep an eye on this saga.
