Man Utd Youngster Rejects New Contract Offer – Two Clubs Keen To Sign Him

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has rejected a new contract offer from Man Utd amid interest from clubs in Germany and France.

The versatile Dutchman has spent more than six years in England, featuring for both reserve and senior sides, but is yet to cement his place in one position.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Fosu-Mensah has been largely used at the right-back position, but has failed to get action ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, it seems Man Utd are happy with the player’s current role, and even offered him a new three-and-a-half-year contract.

However, the Mirror reports that the former Ajax academy star has rejected a new deal from the Red Devils.

Fosu-Mensah, unlike his current club, is not very pleased with his current scenario at Old Trafford, and with his contract running out in the summer, he could leave the club on a free transfer.

According to Sky Sports, French outfit Marseille and German side Hertha Berlin are interested in the defender’s services, and are even prepared to pay a small fee in January rather than competing with more clubs at the end of the season.

In case Fosu-Mensah departs the club next month, Man Utd are likely to go in the market for a new addition, as apart from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, there isn’t any other right-back ready to be thrown into the first-team action.
