Raphael Varane To Man Utd Is Imminent – €50m Deal To Be Closed In The Next Few Days
The Raphael Varane transfer saga has reached a stage where an agreement between Man Utd and Real Madrid is believed to be imminent.
The Frenchman’s return date to report back to pre-season training under Carlo Ancelotti is fast approaching. But in the recent days United have made considerable progress in their bid to lure the four-time Champions League winner from the Spanish capital.
If negotiations continue to move in the English outfit’s favour, Varane could instead head to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s training camp at Carrington.
As far as El Transistor, a radio-program in Spain, is to be believed, that’s precisely what could happen in the coming days. An agreement over a €50m deal is understood to be so advanced that it will be closed very soon, allowing the Real Madrid centre-back to move to Manchester ahead of the new campaign.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano’s latest report on the matter also hinted that ‘it’s time for final decision’ regarding the France international’s future. The Red Devils consider personal terms won’t be an issue’, offering Varane a contract until June 2026.
Florentino Perez is reportedly waiting for the 28-year-old to return from his holiday after a tough summer with France in the Euros before taking next steps.
However, Varane hasn’t yet answered to Real’s contract extension proposal, and as things stand, the La Liga giants will lose him for free in 2022 if they don’t find transfer agreement with United, or any other interested club.
