Manchester United open to January offers for Casemiro and Varane
Manchester United are open to offers for five high-profile players, including Casemiro and Raphael Varane in January.
Erik ten Hag oversaw yet another big spending summer at Old Trafford, welcoming the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount to Old Trafford.
However, none of his new signings have managed to hit the ground running this season, leading to United languishing at the 6th spot in the Premier League standings and at the bottom of Group A in the Champions League.
As we approach another transfer window, it is being suggested the club’s hierarchy is willing to open doors for big-money signings of previous windows.
Manchester United willing to listen to offers for five star players
According to The Guardian, United are open to offers for Casemiro, Varane, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, and Donny van de Beek. Still, it is suggested that the Dutch coach won’t allow any departure if it weakens his squad.
However, in the event the Red Devils decide to strengthen their squad – which is a real possibility considering their form – they may need to generate funds to ensure they don’t breach any financial fair play rules.
Among the five players, Casemiro and Varane are likely to attract the most interest due to their proven quality and experience, but at the same time, their high wages and aging legs may put off prospective buyers.
Sancho is another talent whom United have made available due to the England international’s refusal to apologise to Ten Hag after publicly questioning his team selection.
Martial is in the final year of his contract, meaning he might decide to continue for another few months in Manchester before securing a more lucrative free transfer.
