Manchester United midfielder has decided to join Sevilla, says Fabrizio Romano

Sevilla have seemingly convinced Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri to join the club in January Reuters/Lee Smith.
Hannibal Mejbri has made up his mind to join Sevilla on loan during the ongoing January transfer window.
The 20-year-old has impressed in several cameo appearances under Erik ten Hag but has failed to get regular minutes despite injuries to Mason Mount and Casemiro. The Dutch coach has preferred to trust the likes of Scott McTominay and Sofyan Amrabat over Hannibal.
The emergence of Kobbie Mainoo has further pushed him away from Ten Hag’s starting XI. However, regular game time is of paramount importance for the development of the midfielder, who spent last season at Birmingham City.
Accordingly, the Tunisia international decided to look for a new club this month and made a big sacrifice to not take part in the Africa Cup of Nations to engineer a January loan move.
Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri picks Sevilla
Heading into the winter window, Hannibal attracted interest from Freiburg, Olympique Lyon, and Sevilla. Now, it’s being reported the tenacious midfielder has picked his next club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Hannibal has decided to join Sevilla on loan. It’s understood the La Liga outfit have been monitoring his situation since August. With the player’s nod in their favour, Sevilla will now discuss the terms of a loan deal with United.
The Spanish side have endured a difficult season and find themselves in a relegation battle. They sit 16th on the table with just three wins in 19 league games. The arrival of an energetic talent should certainly help the midfield that is currently headlined by Ivan Rakitic (35) and Nemanja Gudelj (32).
Interestingly, should United and Sevilla agree on a deal, Hannibal would get to link up with Adnan Januzaj, a United academy product.
