Cristiano Ronaldo Set To Extend Contract Till 2021
Real Madrid and Portugal star, Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to renew his contract with his club to ensure that he stays in the Spanish capital till the year 2021.
Spanish news outlet AS have reported that the former Manchester United man has been in contact with Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, over a new contract, which will allow the 31-year-old winger to stay in Spain for another five years.
Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is believed to have scheduled a meeting with Perez over the new contract for the Real Madrid star. The meeting will most probably take place next week, once Ronaldo has returned from his summer holiday in Miami.
Cristiano is currently on a £16.5 million a year contract. His new contract, however, won’t offer him much of a pay rise, but will instead offer the Spanish giants security over their Portuguese man’s future.

The Portuguese captain was injured during the first 24 minutes in the final of the competition. He was later diagnosed with an ACL injury, which could take months to heal.
Zidane spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo during his side’s pre-season tour.
He stated: “Right now [Cristiano Ronaldo] still has his injury.
“Obviously he wants to be back but we need patience and for him to be calm. He will be back with us soon in Madrid.”
Ronaldo has been crucial to Real Madrid’s success ever since he joined the Spanish side in 2009. He has guided them to two UEFA Champions League trophies, and one La Liga title. Cristiano has also managed to win two Ballon d’Or awards during his time in the Spanish Capital.
