Real Madrid have already started taking measures after seemingly losing out on the signing of Leny Yoro, reports from Spain have revealed.
Multiple sources have indicated that Yoro has finally made his decision, and a surprising one at that, as he has chosen to join Manchester United over his dream club Real Madrid.
The Red Devils have successfully agreed personal terms in principle with the centre-back, who is already flying out to the UK to undergo his medical. The 20-time English champions have had a £52m agreement in place with Lille for Yoro’s services since days.
And now, it appears Real Madrid have been informed of these developments, and they have already started taking responsive measures.
Real Madrid return to transfer market in search of Leny Yoro replacement
The Spanish giants have been informed of Leny Yoro’s travel to Manchester to finalise his United move.
This update is likely to be a disappointing one for the Galacticos, who even sold Rafa Marin to Napoli to make space for Yoro in their already talented squad, suggests Alberto Pereiro, who reports on Real Madrid for the publication ONDA CERO.
Given the 18-year-old’s admiration for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, it appears Real believed this deal would be a matter of when and not if. This also explains their stance of paying no more than €20/25m for Yoro this summer, or simply expecting him to join as a free agent in 2025, per Fabrizio Romano.

But now that they have lost this transfer race, the reigning European champions will return to the transfer market in search of another centre-back, Pereiro adds.
While the hunt for a replacement is likely to be a quick one, the impact of losing out on of the best emerging defensive talents might linger comparatively longer.
