After Leny Yoro, yet another Real Madrid target is now keen on joining Manchester United
Adrien Rabiot, despite being chased by several top European clubs, is reportedly hoping to join Manchester United.
The central midfielder is one of the most in-demand free agents in the ongoing summer transfer window, with several top clubs from England and Spain pursuing his services.
Juventus, too, were eager to tie him down with a new deal at the Old Lady. But the ex-PSG player is eager for a fresh challenge elsewhere—especially in the Premier League.
In fact, it is his desire to play in England that has helped him identify the club he would like to play for next, and it is none other than Manchester United.
Manchester United leading race for Real Madrid target
Last week’s reports indicated that Manchester United were closing in on a deal to sign the France international. But talks still remain in early stages, and there is still a long way to go before any transfer can be finalised.
Now, a fresh report by CaughtOffside has provided an update, stating that Rabiot’s agent is actively in talks with a host of European clubs. This decorated list includes the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
However, the 29-year-old is keen on starting a new chapter in the Premier League, and he believes the best place to write his story in England would be at the Theatre of Dreams.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is said to be open to the idea of adding Rabiot to his squad. But a deal would depend on whether the new club hierarchy can strike a deal, especially considering Rabiot wants an annual salary of around €10m-15m.
Meanwhile, links between the Red Devils and PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte remain very much alive. While the Uruguay international has already agreed terms, the two clubs are still far apart on the player’s valuation.
If no agreement on a transfer fee is reached, it is likely that the Mancunians may pivot and direct all their efforts in signing Rabiot on a free.
