Three signings that Manchester United want to make after Cunha and Mbeumo

Manchester United have very ambitious plans for the summer transfer window on the back of their worst-ever Premier League campaign.

Ruben Amorim’s men secured a 15th-place finish and ended the season with a frustrating Europa League final defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.

As such, United head into the summer transfer window with, PSR concerns, a limited transfer budget, and no European football to attract top players. Yet, early signs are looking promising.

Who have Manchester United signed so far?

Manchester United have already agreed a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The £62.5m signing will formally complete his transfer after the international outing with Brazil this month.

United have also secured the green light from sought-after Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, and are now in talks with the Bees to find an agreement over a transfer fee.

Who will Manchester United sign this summer?

Cunha and Mbeumo will occupy the two wide playmakers role behind the striker in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 setup. However, United intend to address other areas of the squad as well.

According to The Guardian, the Premier League giants would still like “a striker, central midfielder and possibly a goalkeeper to go with the attacking midfield pair.”

Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as United’s top target for the number nine role, and Atalanta midfielder Ederson has also been strongly linked with the club. The new goalkeeper target could heavily rely on Andre Onana’s future.

Having said that, United will have to make significant sales to bring in three more signings. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho have all been made available for sale this summer.
