Manchester United planning to sign PSG star who is seriously considering transfer
Manchester United are among the clubs showing interest in Paris Saint-Germain star Lee Kang-in, who is capable of playing as a forward and midfielder.
United have already transformed their attack, having signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko ahead of the new season.
The trio is viewed as Ruben Amorim’s first-choice option for his 3-4-3 formation. However, United’s bench strength may be light on numbers if they manage to offload Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund.
As such, a new signing for advanced positions can’t be ruled out at this stage of the window.
Manchester United interested in PSG star
According to CaughtOffside, United are “closely following” the situation of Lee Kang-in.
The 24-year-old, who moved to the French capital from Mallorca in 2023, has impressed fans and pundits alike with his technical prowess and versatility. Lee Kang-in was among the goalscorers in PSG’s comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Super Cup.
However, the South Korean star has struggled for regular minutes under Luis Enrique, who is blessed with a number of exciting talents in midfield and attack.
It is claimed that the player is seriously considering the possibility of leaving the club. Enrique rates him highly, but PSG “will not stand in his way if a suitable offer is presented.”

It will be interesting to see where he ends up, as United are not the only club keen on his services. They face competition from Arsenal and Napoli.
In particular, Arsenal, who face the Mancunians at Old Trafford on Sunday, have made direct contact for the PSG man.
Lee Kang-in has a contract with the Champions League winners until 2028. As such, he might not come cheap.
Further, United may not be able to guarantee him a starting role following their prolific summer transfer window.
