Ruben Amorim approves arrival of Manchester United playmaker
Manchester United have proposed a deal to sell Mason Mount to AC Milan, with reports suggesting the Serie A club’s new head coach Ruben Amorim has approved the potential signing.
United are actively reshaping their squad this summer, having already secured a deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
The club is exploring further midfield additions, but financial constraints mean they must first generate income through player sales.
Manuel Ugarte had been earmarked as a likely departure to raise funds, but a serious knee injury suffered at the World Cup has effectively ended any immediate transfer prospects for the Uruguayan. This has shifted focus toward Mount as a saleable asset.
Mason Mount offered to AC Milan
Mason Mount has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford since his move from Chelsea, struggling with recurring injuries and finding himself lower in the squad hierarchy under Michael Carrick.
Milan Press reports that the England international has been offered to AC Milan.
Crucially, Amorim, who previously managed Mount at Old Trafford, has reportedly given his approval to open negotiations.

According to Milan Press, an exchange of information is already underway between the two clubs as Milan assess the viability of the deal.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is valued at around €25 million (£21.5m), but Milan would hope to strike an agreement for a lower fee.
Mount looks set to become another in a long list of United players who have struggled to live up to the legacy of the iconic number seven shirt.
