During the summer transfer window, both the Manchester clubs were interested in signing Brazilian starlet Gabriel Jesus. Manchester United offered a higher bid for the player, but he eventually ended up at Manchester City.
Gabriel Jesus, who played for Brazilian club Palmeiras, was voted the best newcomer of the 2015 Brazilian league. Due to his playing style, he has been called the next Neymar by the Brazilian media.
Jesus managed to bag 26 goals in his 67 appearances for Palmeiras – quite impressive for a teenager. He is best known for his commanding pace and agility, and he even received praise from Brazil’s Ronaldo – who predicted that Gabriel is destined for greatness in the national team.
