Costa and Conte Have A Go At Each Other

Both Diego Costa and Antonio Conte are currently leading Chelsea towards the Premier League title, and the duo seems to be doing so with passion, flair and intensity.

However, with two individuals full of themselves who believe in their actions before other’s, a clash is always around the corner.

Costa is currently Chelsea’s leading scorer this season with 14 in the league, and he recently claimed to sustain a lower back injury which was later ruled out by the physio team, who were backed by Conte. This resulted in a row between the manager and player, causing Costa to not travel with the Blues to face Leicester this Saturday.

Given the player’s recent hamstring injury problems, there might be a high possibility that the injury is genuine, but both Conte and the management seem barely convinced about it being truly the case.

This fallout with Conte might result in Costa losing his place in the team and finding a playing spot away from Stamford Bridge, mostly in China, where his agents are rumoured to be present, trying to look out for possible options. And in fact, a Chinese Super League club has reportedly offered Costa a £30m-a-year offer for his services.

Batshuayi, the new £34m man, has not yet convinced Conte to lead the line, and with Costa’s exit, a new striker might be a priority in January amidst rumours of Llorente from Swansea being a prime target for the Blues.

With fine form, the title approaching soon and visible in far sight, and the chance to win the golden boot, such an issue might not be enough for Costa’s exit, but being the unpredictable person that he is, a surprise is always on the cards.
