Real Madrid Are On The Verge Of Setting A New Goalscoring Record

Real Madrid are just two games away from equalling the club record of scoring in 41 consecutive matches, as per Marca.
Zinedine Zidane’s men are currently the only ones in Europe’s top five leagues to have managed to score in each and every game that they have featured in this season (a total of 34 games).
In fact, such is their goalscoring prowess, that the last time they failed to find the back of the net was during the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City last season.

However, Real are now close to equalling, and even breaking their own impressive club record. If they manage to score against Celta Vigo in Balaidos on Sunday, and then do the same against Osasuna at the Estadio El Sadar next Saturday, they will have scored in 41 consecutive games.
Furthermore, if they also get on the scoresheet against Napoli in the Champions League on February 15, they will break the current record to create a new one altogether, which could further extend with the continuation of their scoring streak.
This 41-match goalscoring record was set between the seasons of 1951-52 and 1952-53, back when Santiago Bernabeu reigned as the club president. And the last time Real came close to breaking this record was during the 2011-12 season when Jose Mourinho was still in charge of the Los Blancos.
