Liverpool Are In Front Seat To Sign Algerian-Born Attacking Midfielder

Liverpool are in pole position to sign the 16-year-old Algerian-born attacking midfielder Yasser Larouci – as per the reports from the Mail.
Larouci, who played for Paul Pogba’s former club Le Havre has rejected their offer to stay with the club and is now and free agent and back in December, it was reported that he has a trial for Southampton’s academy and at the same time, Jose Mourinho’s scouts were also monitoring his development.
But now it seems like the Reds of Merseyside have occupied a front seat in the speculation and are willing to sign him up for their academy.
Larouci is a modern day footballing youngster who loves to play on the flanks and run riots. He has a lot of pace to burn and is a menace in the final third, but what makes this deal ‘special’ is that the former Reds Florent Sinama Pongolle and Anthony Le Tallec were also recruited from the same club under Gerard Houllier’s charge.
Amongst all the English club, Liverpool are the only one who are known to give their young academy stars a chance to shine, but an exit from EFL cup and FA cup, this won’t be the case anymore – at least in this season.
Larouci, who can also be described as a Philippe Coutinho facsimile, would certainly be a good addition as the Reds are well known for their academy management, but a prospect of first team football might be a distant dream, as the player is only 16 and there are many areas where the manager will want him to work on.
All-in-all, it is fair to say that the Merseysiders are in safe hands.
