Luke Shaw is seriously considering Manchester United exit and is being lined up by Tottenham if Manchester City come up with a big-money offer for Danny Rose.

The Manchester United left-back has been left out in the cold by Jose Mourinho this term and is believed to have become his fourth-choice player in that position behind Daley Blind, Mateo Darmian and Marcos Rojo.

Shaw has managed only one appearance for the Red Devils since December with Mourinho not satisfied with his performances.

He was even left out of the squad completely for United’s EFL Cup final win against Southampton. The 21-year-old Shaw was once widely tipped to be England’s long-term solution on the left side of defense but his fall from grace has been quite dramatic.

However, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is willing to hand him a lifeline if Pep Guardiola tempts Rose away, according to the Mirror.

The Argentine manager guided Shaw come through to Southampton’s first team and still believes in his ability. The future of Rose is also uncertain despite signing a new contract with the Spurs in September.

But if Manchester City push through a deal in the summer, Pochettino will be happy to utilise the funds on what he considers would be a more than enough replacement in Shaw.

Meanwhile, a report from Squawka suggests the Manchester United defender already believes Mourinho has made his mind up regarding his future and he won’t get any place in his plans going forward.

The report says Shaw thinks he has been treated unfairly by the Portuguese manager as he continues to regain his confidence, form and fitness after his lengthy time out due to a broken leg.

Mourinho has publicly expressed his frustration with Shaw this season after the Englishman ruled himself out of their match against Swansea back in November.

Shaw’s contract with the Red Devils runs till 2018 but if he wants to continue progressing and maintaining a place in the England setup, he may have no other choice but to leave United.
